No point

Write another blog post after yesterday? Really?

I don't think so. There's nothing more to be said right now.

  1. We're still here though. :-)

Re the flies... You do have to find the right rotty fruit, and the holes big enough for the flies to crawl in, and not out. I admit to having experimented a bit. (They come back every summer grrr.) It can take a day for them to find it too.

(What else to talk about when it feels like life is all black? Fruit flies!)

Since you said in Lucy's post that you've had cats before, but I assume you can't afford one right now, my cat is sending you purrrs.

    Take care.

  2. You posted - you didn't feel like writing, but you still showed up and logged in and posted. That is a good thing. Talk to your BFF, if you can. Keep blogging and talk to us. Things WILL get better.

  3. BFB is right, you showed up, that's a win.

Echoing Mabel, (which I seem to be doing all over the blog-o-sphere lately) I didn't see what the fruit fly recommendation was, but I'll keep on that topic. We have had great success with pickle jars, dill or sweet, they don't seem to care which. Leave a bit of the juice down at the bottom and poke holes in the lid. Also works if you put some pickle juice in a glass, stretch plasic wrap over the top and use a fork to poke holes in that (sometimes you need a rubber band to keep the top snug). Make a few, set them around. Of course it looks funny, but it works!

  4. I should have put some juice or something into the jar with the berries. I'll toss them and try again. The damned things do seem to love me, especially my mouth, and they seemed particularly attracted to my Dr. Pepper.

Thank you all. Sometimes all I can do *is* show up. Your being here makes doing so worthwhile.
